Performances for Springs Spree 2011 Lineup as follows
"Bo Bice" is an American singer and musician who placed second to Carrie Underwood in the fourth season of American Idol. He has recorded three studio albums, including one on RCA Records. In 2005, Bice charted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 with a rendition of "Inside Your Heaven."
Troy Olsen, songs invoke images of deserts, tumbleweeds and small towns is not by chance. Growing up in rural Arizona, Troy has lived the life of the American cowboy. The work ethic ingrained in him as a child, along with the influence of his musical idols—Dwight Yoakam, Glen Campbell, Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen—have molded him into a truly unique and driven country artist!
"Phat Daddy & the Phat Horn Doctors" was founded in 1994 by vocalist Keith Stovall. Since then its members have played all over Colorado, as well as Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Boston. Phat Daddy & the Phat Horn Doctors has become southern Colorado's premier dance band, being a popular choice for corporate parties, wedding receptions, civic organizations, and country clubs. If you ever get a chance to see Phat Daddy & the Phat Horn Doctors in action, don't miss it.
"THE MARTINI SHOT" is a cover and original six-piece Pop-Rock Band based out of Southern Colorado. Major influences of band are Barenaked Ladies, Reel Big Fish, and 311. The Martini Shot has released three original projects including their first self-titled album, "The Martini Shot," their sophomore album "Dry & Dirty," and the latest album, "Skakin' and Stirred." The Martini Shot performs nearly every weekend throughout the year and was voted the "2009 Best Cover Band" and the "2006 Best Original and Cover Band" by readers of the Colorado Springs Independent. They typically provide a large draw when playing a local club and are staples at local festivals and event series. The Martini Shot is also in high demand for weddings and private events. The band was established in 2000 and most of the members are local music teachers. The name, "Martini Shot," refers to the Hollywood slang term for the last shoot of the day.
"Darin Whitson", I grew up in a family that is musically talented. My dad could play and sing old country with the best of them. I learned how to play guitar from him at the age of 5. I started playing bluegrass music at 15 then moved into new country at the age of 19. I played in several bands until I was 25 and then got out of it until I met James who heard me play in my garage and insisted I get back into it!
"The Jake Loggins Band" Powerful, captivating and original, the Jake Loggins Band is a local blues-rock trio with a sound of their own that takes people by surprise. Loggins, a teenage prodigy now in his 20s, belts out smooth vocals while ripping incredible guitar jams. Noel McFarlane and Dean Woodward are the other two members. The trio captivates audiences with their blues performance. They play all over town. Jake Loggin's just won The Gazette's "The Best of Springs 2011" gold award for best performer of 2011!
"The Nostalgics", southern Colorado's premiere doo-wop/oldies band. Fun is the name of the game, as we perform your favorite hits by the Marcells, the Platters, Dion, Danny and the Juniors, Bill Haley, Del Shannon, and many others, from the late 50's and early 60's. The groups featured three, and four-part harmonies, with strong bass vocal lines, and lead vocals which frequently reached into the high falsetto ranges. They were characterized by nonsensical syllables such as "doobie-do-ah", "shoo-vap shoo-vah","doo-ah-doo", etc. It was a time of great fun and had a lasting effect on pop music. Even today, these songs are as entertaining as ever!
"Bad Habitz" The group enjoys playing a variety of music ranging from Tejano, Old School, 80’s, Country, Top 40 and Rock and Roll. With this format the group prides itself as being able to satisfy most everyone in attendance. Bad Habitz consists of leader, drummer and vocalist Tony Samora, Mike Herrera on bass and vocals, Christina Gallegos on trumpet, percussion and lead vocals, Thomas Cordova on lead vocals and Guitar, Dan Trujillo on Guitar, A.J. Samora on Saxophone and Congas, Sam Subia on Accordion and Carlos Crull on Tenor,Alto Saxophone and Vocals.
"The Lisa McCall Band" From Ground Zero of the Delta, Clarksdale, MS. to the Home of the Blues, Memphis, TN. comes this Premier Female Lead and Slide Guitarist. Having toured in the Delta Heartland, and performing regularly on the World Famous Beale Street, Memphis, TN. Lisa McCall provides scorching guitar licks, haunting vocals and life experiences all expressed in her "All Original Independent Contemporary Blues Music"!
"Last Band On Earth" The Last Band On Earth is really two bands... maybe three.
We are firstly, an Original Rock recording act. The band has released two CDs on the Renegade Arts label and currently working on the third, contributed to Queen and Kiss tribute albums for Italy's Adrenaline Records, had extensive radio play around the globe, had four number one songs on MP3.com, had our single -Party In My Pants- featured in a movie, and played countless concerts working with major label artists.
...And secondly, we are a nightclub act covering a wide variety of popular Rock hits from the 70's, 80s, 90s, and newer, as well as Rockabilly/Swing, and a Pink Floyd Tribute. Our shows are like a box of chocolates... sometimes sweet and nutty, sometimes gooey in the middle, but always full of surprises! So we invite you to join our wild galactic ride. Throw your cares, your angst, and your political correctness out the porthole and just have some crazy fun with us as we plow through the universe and laugh at Armageddon! Rock While You Can!
"Cous and the Bluez Knightz", We perform Blues, R&B, Funk, Old School and Jazz. Influences, BB King, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Sueann Carwell, Junior Wells, Taj Mahal, Etta James, Albert King, Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith. The blues genre is based on the blues form but possesses other characteristics such as specific lyrics, bass lines and instruments. Were ready to give you the smooth style of blues, calling all you cool cats, see ya at Springs Spree!
"Megan Redmond" is an emerging country music artist and songwriter from Denver, CO. She splits her time between Denver and Nashville. Megan’s vocal strength and sound have been compared to a young Faith Hill with pinch of Alison Krauss. Megan’s music and the covers she chooses lean towards creating a fun, energetic emotional experience that all her fans can personally relate to!
"Ninevah Shore" Nineveh Shore is a Colorado Springs Christian band that blends the rhythms and sounds of Rock and the Blues into a unique style of it’s own. We also play from a repertoire of contemporary selections to reach a broad range of tastes!

"Black Rose Band" We put this band together with the idea of bringing country music to the masses. The eclectic and diverse members of The Black Rose Band come from all kinds of backgrounds and influences. This gives us a deep pool of experience and talent to draw from. We are true professionals who are craftsman of their own instrument. The philosophy we have is to make great country music with an edge that showcases the bands great talents. We feature great vocals, fantastic rhythm section. Our influences are everthing from George Strait to Cross Canadian Ragweed, AC/DC to HAG. We play the latest top 40 hits and the classics everyone loves. We are foucused on performing and putting on fanstastic memorable shows.
"Vivian Gail" is a Jazz/B'way/Folk singer who is currently stationed in Colorado. Vivian has played in New York and Nashville, and currently has 3 albums produced through Treblemaker Productions, LLC.
"Starburn" A new band performing 60's & 70's rock covers such as The Doors, Cream, Santana, Vanilla Fudge etc. Artists that inspire us Cream, Santana, Doors, Chicago, Crosby Stills Nash. Can't wait for the crowd to come join us. see ya there!
"Pangaea Station" The band name is derived from the super-continent that existed during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras about 250 million years ago. PANGAEA. Music style Progressive and Acoustic Rock.
